Stacy Kim is a fourth-year student at Baruch College where she is studying journalism and creative writing. She is the recipient of the Baruch Climate Scholars research scholarship, which has allowed her to engage in research on climate issues in developing countries, public policy and natural sciences. She also volunteers at Jesus Love House Mission, with the goal of empowering those who were cut off from society to see themselves as members of the community. Her desire to help people at a disadvantage stems from her goal of solving climate impacts on low-income people. Upon completion of her studies, she intends to apply to law school to further her knowledge of environmental law and become a lawyer who—on the side of the weak—provides nature standing at courts.
